blue activity GmbH is a CleanTech Company for industrial water treatment using microorganisms instead of environmentally harmful biocides.
As an innovative solution provider for the water treatment of industrial evaporative cooling systems, we offer our customers an “all-round carefree package” for the worry-free operation of these systems. Our service is based on the use of 100% sustainable products including modern online monitoring combined with on-site service as required. We focus on innovation, sustainability and cost efficiency.
Our products are a disruption to the traditional operation of open evaporative cooling systems. On the one hand, we replace chemically toxic biocides in water treatment with 100% non-GMO microorganisms. On the other hand, we replace petroleum- and heavy metal-based polymers for corrosion protection and hardness stabilization with environmentally friendly biopolymers. We are constantly developing these innovative products with strategic partners.
By consistently substituting hazardous substances we not only avoid them, we conserve water resources and improve wastewater quality.

Blue Activity replaces the complete chemical treatment stack of industrial evaporative cooling systems with a fully biodegradable, biology-based alternatives.
Biological water treatment. A non-GMO microbial consortium replaces all oxidising and non-oxidising biocides in the cooling circuit. The microorganisms work continuously, cleaning and maintaining the system through biological activity alone — eliminating biocide procurement, handling and disposal, introducing no corrosion potential through the treatment itself, and producing no hazardous wastewater. Fully compliant with EU Biocidal Products Regulation and compatible with all common cooling system materials.
Scale and corrosion control. Petroleum- and heavy metal-based polymers are replaced entirely by biodegradable biopolymer formulations. These cover hardness stabilisation, scale inhibition and corrosion protection across steel, copper alloys and mixed-metal systems — with non-ferrous metal inhibitors available where required. No zinc, molybdate or chromate in wastewater discharge. Improved wastewater classification as a direct result.
BA-Cycle+ monitoring. All critical system parameters are captured continuously via the proprietary online monitoring board: biofilm detection, scaling sensors, online corrosion measurement, fill level, flow, conductivity, pH and temperature — with integrated automated dosing control. 24/7 visibility across all parameters, no manual sampling required.
On-site expert service. Regular field visits cover system inspection, dosing verification, sampling and process optimisation. Full documentation for legal compliance, Legionella risk assessment, and performance reporting are included as standard.
Delivered as a single full-service contract — products, infrastructure, monitoring and field service on a monthly basis. Single point of responsibility for water quality, with SLA-backed performance guarantees scalable across multiple sites.
